For this panorama, he made a freehand drawing of imaginary motifs from 18th century engravings taken from a collection called 'Antiquités étrusques, grecques et romaines tirées du cabinet de M. Hamilton' (Etruscan, Greek and Roman Antiquities from the Cabinet of M. Hamilton), which is conserved in the French National Library. The artist focuses on playing with codes and epochs.
