For over 40 years, we have worked with great passion to develop and manufacture decorative finishes for your interior.

Orac Decor® allows you to bring beautiful, high-quality and long-lasting design into your home.
We strive for continuous improvement in all areas. That's simple in theory, but in practice,
our company mission requires extensive effort – from product development to after-sales.

1970 - ORAC NV is established
The Ostend Research and Applications Company or ORAC is set up in the city of Ostend on the Belgian coast.
ORAC's original activities aimed to replace materials traditionally used in the furniture sector (wood) with advanced polymers.
1980 - Focus on decorative ornaments
ORAC nv/sa rapidly develops into the world's most innovative manufacturer of decorative ornaments.
Over the years, many decorative and other elements are launched as part of the Orac Decor® collection.
1992 - ORAC goes 'flex'
ORAC nv/sa launches the revolutionary Orac Flex products, which are based on unique technology.
Meanwhile, the international dealership network is set up step by step. We are proud of our partners
and thank them for the support and enthusiasm they have shown over the past 30 years!
1999 - Expansion of the production facilities
ORAC nv/sa sets up a new production unit and logistics centre in Slovakia to improve services in Eastern European countries.
2000 - Launch of the Duropolymer® collection
ORAC nv/sa develops Duropolymer, a high-quality, light and budget-friendly material.
As a result, the Duropolymer® collection is born.
2002 - 100% family business
The second generation of the family takes over the management.
2007 - New office building
The ORAC nv/sa office move to a brand-new building that also provides sufficient space for an extensive showroom and training facilities.
2010 - ORAC goes green
The ISO 14001 certificate confirms ORAC's great concern for the environment: the company invests in a large solar power plant and a recycling unit.
2016 - Smart Design Award - Intirio 2016
SX171 Cover skirting: Ideal for renovations: a perfectly waterproof and paintable cover skirting.
2018 – The Launch of 3D Wall Covering
ORAC introduces 3D Wall Covering – a simple and unique way of giving walls extra dimension and personalising your interior.
2020 – Orac turns 50!
Even after 50 years, the original family values – loyalty,
passion and inspiration – still form the foundation of Orac and the Oracian teams’ success.
2022 – ORAC says goodbye to founder
On Christmas Day ORAC’s founder Guy Taillieu passes away at the age of 76.
Mr Taillieu was a true visionary, passionate about his business and the people in it. He will be greatly missed.
